Les Hay Babies | Friday, November 21st @The Pearl | 8PM

Les Hay Babies are friends first: fun comes before work and work is done while having fun. New Brunswick-born Acadians Julie Aubé, Katrine Noël and Vivianne Roy have been bringing forth their sparkling, multifaceted folk-rock for over a decade, renewing their musical proposition with each new release. Since forming a band in 2011, they have launched their EP Folio (2012) and the albums* Mon homesick heart* (2014), La 4ième dimension (version longue) (2016), and Boîte aux lettres (2020), shifting from indie-folk and country to classic rock and disco. They reinvent their sound once again with their fourth album, to come out in 2024: a trademark of theirs as much as their unwavering drive and interest in actualizing sounds from past decades.

Tintamarre! A live Hay Babies show is an enchanting experience where rock meets the folkloric soul of Acadia. This show is a party — it’s country rock and it’s heartfelt. Armed with guitars, iconic outfits, and their signature vocal harmonies, they take audiences on a musical journey through the rich soundscapes of the regions they hold dear. And where there’s Acadie, there’s a good time.
On stage, Julie, Katrine, and Vivianne radiate contagious energy, sharing touching and humorous stories from their latest album. They create a vibe that’s both festive and introspective, filled with smiles, warmth, and emotion. The Hay Babies don’t just entertain — they forge an authentic connection with their audience, inviting them to discover the tales and rhythms of their home, one song at a time.
