CLASSES
Registration for French courses are closed.
Le Centre offers Beginners 1, 2, 3, Intermediate 1, 2, and Advanced French as a Second Language classes.
4 Sessions: Fall (September), Winter (January), Spring (April), Summer (intensive - July).
Sessions are comprised of either 8 or 10 courses (depending on which semester you register for), with each being 2 hours in duration.
Classes are held once a week in the evenings at Le Centre (no classes on weekends).
During the intensive summer session, classes are held twice a week.
Free mandatory level assessments are held two or three weeks prior to each session, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. These verbal level assessments generally last between 5 and 10 minutes (waiting time before test not included in estimate).
Level assessments are also available over the phone by one of our teachers, however, a $10.00 administration fee will be charged prior to taking the assessment.

If you attended one of our courses in the past year, you can register in person or by phone as soon as registration opens.

Instructors
Classes are taught by French native speakers only. Our instructors are experienced, certified, and friendly.

Who can register?
Our classes are offered to people aged 16 and over.

Assessment level
If it is your first time taking French classes with us, or if it has been over a year, a level assessment before registering is required. We want to make sure that you will be registered in the course level that best suits you.
For each session, we offer two registration evenings with a free level assessment. If you miss it, you have the possibility to do it over the phone with one of our instructors.

Members : 215$ + 5$ (material) + 11$ (tax) = 231$
Regulars : 230$ + 5$ (material) + 11,75$ (tax) = 246,75$

REGISTRATIONS*
* Students who require level assessment must wait until their test is passed to register.
During the Winter session, Le Centre offers in-person and online French as a Second Language classes for various levels, from April 15th to June 6th, 2024.
Each class is two hours in length, held online or in-person once a week for 8 weeks. Classes have a capacity of 5-12 students.
Please note that you have to download Zoom to participate if you choose to take the online course. Click on the link and once the web page is open, click on "Download and launch Zoom". Install the software. To access the activity, select "Open Zoom meetings" when the notification pops up. If you connect earlier than the scheduled time, you'll be directed to the "Waiting Room" until the host authorizes access.

If you attended the 2024 winter, spring or summer session, you can begin your registration by email at info@lecentreculturel.com from April 2nd. A level assessment is not required.
Please note that only those who are SILVER members of Le Centre for the whole duration of the course can benefit from the member's rate.
First Registration

If it is your first time taking a course with us, or if it has been over a year since your last registration, you will need a level assessment test. The assessment tests will be held on April 8th & 9th on Zoom or in-person at Le Centre. Registration is required - first come, first served.

If you have never taken a French course in the past and have no basics, the placement test is not required and you can register for Beginner 1 beginning on April 2nd.
