About the event
AI did not invent the thing that finishes our thoughts. The alphabet did it first.
The Alphabet, Thief of Thoughts follows the history of tools entering the mind. An apple is compressed into binary code, letters, then sound. Nine historical figures are remade through the media that carried thought in their age. A confession fades as it is read.
From Socrates, who distrusted writing, to the post-alphabetist who thinks with an alphabet that answers, every medium helps us think while also flattening part of experience. The tools change. The human signal remains. The exhibition asks what a thought is before it is captured.
