About the event
Made up of the two Volovitch brothers, members of the group Les Wriggles, Volo is emerging as an active member of the French song scene. Originally from Tours, Frédéric and Olivier Volovitch seem to share a passion for music. Frédéric, the eldest, has been a member of Les Wriggles for ten years. The singer-guitarist has played hundreds of concerts, including at the Olympia, La Cigale and the Bataclan.
He has already released four albums and a DVD with his group. Olivier, for his part, prefers to devote himself to a master's degree in philosophy and tries to pass the national education exams. But his passion caught up with him. Every spare hour he has is an opportunity to write songs. A field in which he is far more successful.
In 2001, the two brothers decided to get together and form Volo. The following year, the group played its first concerts in a bar in Saint-Etienne. The local press was won over. The story continues with opening acts for Les Joyeux Urbains and Bénabar.
In 2003, the group was lucky enough to be programmed at the Paroles et Musique festival. Noticed by a number of artists and professionals, the brothers soon signed a contract with Opera-Music. With their highly personal guitar playing and fluid melodies, Volo have all the cards to establish themselves as a benchmark band.
