About the event

Beauséjour:

Beauséjour band combines two regions, the Prairies and Acadia. Jocelyne Baribeau and Joannie Bénoit each boast impressive individual careers. By joining forces, these creators have developed a musical fusion that explores two regions, diverse experiences, and multiple styles. Their music transports listeners through melodies and accents alike. Rich lyrics blend with incomparable vocal warmth. On stage, Beauséjour offers a comforting experience that feels like coming home each time.

Their album "BEAUSÉJOUR", launched during the CULTURE COUNTRY celebrations at the Gala Country in October 2019, received 13 national nominations and two Willie Awards. Nominations at the Prix Musique NB, Western Canadian Music Awards, Trille Or, Gamiq, and Gala Country further validate the project's success.

In the tradition of wide-open spaces, Beauséjour is deeply rooted in "Big Sky Country," proudly contributing to Canada's rich musical landscape. Since their debut self-titled album, Beauséjour has performed over 75 shows. Their latest album, "Mille après mille," was released in autumn 2022 during their appearance as guests at the Festival Western de Saint-Tite in Quebec.

Founded in 2019 by Jocelyne Baribeau and Danny Boudreau, BEAUSÉJOUR is a musical concept bridging two distinct regions. Like travelers from another era, Eastern cousins have migrated westward for generations, bringing with them their stories, music, and zest for life. Western francophones happily embrace and share in their adventures and the unique sounds born from the vast landscapes.
