This year-round concert series is mainly dedicated to emerging artists, often from BC but sometimes from other provinces or French-speaking countries. It provides a stage to experiment on and a place to gain experience as performers while also allowing Greater Vancouver audiences to discover professional quality French-language concerts on a more regular basis.
The Nouvelle Scène series is also open to artists who are more advanced in their careers, who want to present a new piece of work. The Nouvelle Scène series has become a pillar for album release for many francophone British Columbian singers/songwriters, who want to present their new work in a more intimate setting, before hitting the stage at more major events such as the Festival d’été francophone de Vancouver or the Coup de coeur francophone de Vancouver, here in Vancouver, or elsewhere in Canada.
