His work in this mixed media presentation is an artistic exploration of the force of gravity. His aim is to engage viewers visually and physically in the experience. Christmas is sacred at Le Centre! Knowing that many of us weren't able to join their families for the holiday season in 2020, we called the best team to spread the magic of Christmas in August! Hiver-Nation is a collective of artists - a joint initiative of the Alberta Centre for Musical Development and ICI Radio-Canada Alberta - that will perform 11 original new works incrusted in the white magic of winter. Then, Justin Lacroix and Kristine St-Pierre will present "Noël en toi" (Christmas with you), beautiful songs full of emotions to remind us that our families are in our hearts. Étienne Fletcher and Ghislaine Doté will also perform a few Christmas songs.

It is with a lot of joy that we welcome on this fourth day of the festival, Loig Morin who will present his seventh album named "Printemps (Spring)". A short season of eight pop titles, part synthetic, part organic, punctuated with female voices carrying the ephemeral sadness of rainy days as well as the capricious warmth of an amorous breeze. Then, the duo Paupière will take the lead with a piece of sensual icy pop music from the 1980s already acclaimed around the world.

FESTIVAL D'ÉTÉ | PASCALE GOODRICH-BLACK (LA VALLÉE DES LOUPS)

Aug 29, 2021

Studio 16
1551, 7e Avenue ouest
Vancouver, V6J 1S1

Founded by musician and activist Pascale Goodrich-Black, whose roots are Anishnaabe and settler, by celebrated percussionist Elliot Polsky, the very young Max Goodrich-Black, a talented multi-instrumentalist, and singer and pianist Steeve Veraai, the Vallée des Loups project bears the cultural and ancestral heritage of its members. Rooted in issues of social justice, inspired by education as much as altruism and openness to others, this show highlights this universal language we call music and its extraordinary capacity to transmit.
