Founded by musician and activist Pascale Goodrich-Black, whose roots are Anishnaabe and settler, by celebrated percussionist Elliot Polsky, the very young Max Goodrich-Black, a talented multi-instrumentalist, and singer and pianist Steeve Veraai, the Vallée des Loups project bears the cultural and ancestral heritage of its members. Rooted in issues of social justice, inspired by education as much as altruism and openness to others, this show highlights this universal language we call music and its extraordinary capacity to transmit.

PASCALE GOODRICH-BLACK (VALLÉE DES LOUPS) (B.C)

Rooted in issues of social justice, inspired by education as much as altruism and openness to others that this universal language we call music has the extraordinary capacity to transmit, the Vallée des Loups project bears the cultural and ancestral heritage of its members. Founded by musician and activist Pascale Goodrich-Black, whose roots are Anishnaabe and settler, known in the Vancouver community for her committed social engagement, and by celebrated percussionist Elliot Polsky, winner of three JUNO awards who has collaborated with Leela Gilday, Pacifika, and Jim Byrnes, the group is rounded out on stage by the very young Max Goodrich-Black, a talented multi-instrumentalist, scholarship holder of the Sarah McLachlan School of Music, and by singer and pianist Steeve Vérayie, who hails from Martinique and has accumulated tours with Jeunesses musicales du Canada and joined many operatic productions, in particular with the Opéra de Montréal and OBQ (Opéra Bouffe du Québec). Their collective voices join in music that is undulating, roots, soul, pop, world, instrumental or non-instrumental, unique and united.
