The team at the Centre culturel francophone de Vancouver wishes you a warm welcome and thanks you for the interest you have shown in our activities.
Le Centre culturel is a not-for-profit organisation that owes its expansion over recent years to the tremendous support it has received from volunteers.
Volunteers at the Centre culturel don't have to be French… although it is recommended that volunteers speak French. What a good way for English speaking francophiles to get some practice!
Volunteering at the Centre is a time to have fun and share good company, an opportunity to meet others who share your interests and to take part in events at the heart of the francophone community in Vancouver.
Here are a number of ways you can help:
Our regular program of events
Concerts in the Nouvelles scène series, shows open to the general public, exhibitions, story telling time for children (Contes pour Tous), our drop in discussion group "Café philo", managing the library: all theses activities take a lot of time and energy to organise... but they also bring so much satisfaction! We would be delighted to have you join our team for these events. Please call 604 736-9806 if you are interested in getting involved.
Coup de Cœur francophone
This Festival has been growing from year to year and now it is going to need your help to celebrate its thirteenth anniversary. Please come out to enjoy the concerts organised by the Centre, and lend a hand with some of the varied tasks such as providing transportation for performers, working at the ticket booth, looking after the dressing rooms and advertising.
Festival d'été (Summer Festival)
"I have volunteered at the Vancouver Festival d'été francophone for a number of years. Being a volunteer has allowed me to experience the Festival in a completely different way. The fantastic atmosphere, meeting new friends, taking in great shows... We have a wonderful time while we are working! "
