You want to learn French or improve your level?

French Classes for adults

4 sessions : Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer (8 or 10 two-hour-lessons, it depends on the session). Classes are held on week evenings at Le Centre.

5 Levels : Beginner I, II and III, Intermediate and Advanced.

PLACEMENT TESTS
(MANDATORY AND FREE)

They take place one or two weeks prior to the beginning of the classes and only take a couple of minutes to evaluate your level.

SUMMER 2008

The placement tests, mandatory and free, will be held on Monday, June 30 from 5 to 8 pm.

Beginner 1, 2 and 3: 2 hours, twice a week, during 4 weeks (16 hours)
Member $110 | Non-member $125 | + $5 copies

Intermediate and Advanced: 4 hours, five days a week, during 2 weeks (40 hours)
Member $245 | Non-member $260 | + $5 copies

Conversational French Classes
ENROLMENT & REFUND POLICIES
(Winter Session 2007)

1- Full payment prior to class start.

2- The Centre reserves the right to discontinue or rearrange classes. A class will be cancelled if enrolment proves insufficient. In such cases, students may request a transfer to another class or a full refund of fees paid.

3- Students wishing to CANCEL THEIR ENROLMENT AFTER THEIR SESSION STARTS MUST DO SO AT LEAST 48 HOURS BEFORE THEIR SECOND SCHEDULED CLASS in order to receive a refund. This REFUND WILL BE LIMITED TO 85% OF THE FEE for the session. (Cancellation well before the second class enables us to enroll from our waiting list and offer the incoming students a fee reflecting the missed first class) THERE WILL BE NO REFUND OF CLASS FEES AFTER THE ABOVE-STATED PERIOD.

4- Owing to the rules governing Societies our yearly membership fee is not refundable.

5- A course certificate will be awarded to those students who attend at least 80% of the classes scheduled for their session.

Writing workshop

Do you love to write and want to share your creative work with others? Or would you just like to improve your level of writing in French? To help you develop your writing talents, we offer two workshops on different levels to be held each Saturday for 5 weeks in a casual and friendly atmosphere.

Workshop lead by Kasse Michel: 1 pm to 3 pm

Reading Club

Do you enjoy reading and discussing in French? Why not joining a reading group led by Laurent Fadanni (on Saturday) to discuss a book with other Francophones and Francophiles? The program will include grammar, vocabulary exercises, historical background and issues. The book will be L'amant by Marguerite Duras.
